LEARNING OUTCOMES: By the time the students leave the CCA, what characteristics do they exhibit?

1. To encourage all dancers to strive for excellence and enjoy the journey along the way.

2. To provide quality dance instruction through caring, professional instructors in a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere.

3. To continue to accomplish and learn new things that will develop the dancers in many areas, both physically and mentally.

CCA-specific skills they can perform

1. Be able to recognize Modern Dance elements in this form of dance style.

2. Be familiar with basic Modern dance vocabulary and dance movements.

3. Be able to apply skills learnt in the course to choreograph their own short dance piece to improve their creativity and improvisational skills

4. Demonstrate safe practices during technique trainings, rehearsals and performances.

5. Demonstrate teamwork and coordination between dancers, showing clear dance formations and smooth group movements.

6. Coordinate and synchronise movements with peers while dancing to music.

7. Demonstrate physical skills and attributes (such as flexibility, control, strength, coordination, balance, posture); technical skills (timing, rhythmic, action, spatial), expressive skills, mental skills (memory, concentration, confidence)

CCA-specific knowledge they will acquire

1. Recognise safe practices during dance sessions.

2. Know spatial concepts that can be applied when performing dance.

3. Know dance techniques for efficient movement execution and expressive performance.

CCA-specific attitudes they will form

1. Collaborate with peers on various group tasks.

2. Display interest in learning dances from different genres.

3. Demonstrate perseverance by doing their best during trainings and performances.

4. Commitment to the learning of the different choreographies, beyond practice sessions.
