Instilling discipline through respect, achieving sporting excellence through resilience.

LEARNING OUTCOMES: By the time the students leave the CCA, what characteristics do they exhibit?

1. To show discipline by respecting teachers, coach, teammates, opponents and referees.

2. To achieve excellence by being steely resilient in the face of challenges.

3. To develop group and individual defensive & offensive skills (i.e. technical & tactical).

LEARNING INDICATORS: How do we know our students have learnt?

1. Students show commitment to training (i.e. attendance > 75%).

2. Students show respect for teammates and opponents (i.e. players show good sportsmanship and team spirit both on/off court).

3. Students who are disciplined and display resilience when faced with challenges (i.e. players display perseverance after defeat or are able to turn around a game).

4. Students who are motivated to keep up with fitness and proficient in basketball tactics.

CCA-specific skills they can perform

1. Ball handling, dribbling and passing

2. Shooting (Field goal, Free throws and 3-point)

3. Layup

1. Rules of 5v5 and 3v3 gameplay
